Easypeel is an upcoming South London artist with the ability to piece together influences and sounds to create dreamy indie tracks. ‘Honey Gazed’ is his debut release, a laid back tune built on an acoustic guitar with hints at early David Bowie hidden amongst the influences from the likes of Mac DeMarco and Bombay Bicycle Club. It builds from mellow, airy and quiet verses into an anthemic singalong complete with female backing vocals and a thick texture. Easypeel describes himself as “dip-dyed in 70s nostalgia”, and if this track is anything to go by, then we can hopefully expect more similarly sentimental tunes. - Dan Peeke
